Established in the Summer of 2018, Ameer also known as “Big Boy” gave up a lucrative career in Events to pursue his passion – FOOD!

Together with his Mum, Big Boy’s Kitchen at home, but the real story began 20+ years ago when Ameer’s Dad owned a Kebab shop and it is here where his love for cooking was ignited.

Having become bored with the food that was on offer in the local area, Ameer decided to shake things up by creating different menus for every day of opening! These included Mexican, Italian and of course our famous Soul Food!

Enter October 2018, up until now the Kitchen had slow growth but the Mother & Son duo persevered and demand started increasing rapidly.

During December 2019, a realisation came that Big Boy’s Kitchen had outgrown the Home Kitchen and so it was time to take it up a level

February 2020, the current Restaurant premises was found and an initial agreement had taken place but unfortunately COVID -19 emerged and the less said about that the better.

November 2020, we throw open our doors mid pandemic (crazy we know but hey that’s us all over) and so the word was out, Big Boy’s is here to stay!

At present, by the grace of Allah SWT, the Restaurant is in full flow with many people from all over the UK visiting Big Boy’s Kitchen to see what all the fuss is about. We've also just want the British Burger Awards 2025!
